Typically – We recommend service be performed every 5,000 miles or once a year, whichever comes first. There are occasional exceptions to the rule; such as 1,000 miles for brand new bikes, changes when flushing a system, or breaking in a new motor.
A typical service is 2.5 hours of labor and will include:
- Changing all 3 oils (motor, transmission, and primary)
- Cleaning air filter
- Lubricating prescribed moving joints
- Spark plug inspect/replace
- Brakes inspect/replace
- Clutch adjust, if needed
Exceptions – Some services are a bit more entailed and will take longer. For example, the 20K service where steering head bearing is checked and/or adjusted or the 50K service where fork oil is replaced.
Quotes – We are happy to provide a quote prior to scheduling work. Before a quote can be provided, we will need to know:
- Year of your bike
- Make of your bike
- Model of your bike
- Mileage of your bike
- Whether you run regular or synthetic oils
